Entrepreneurs Are Human

Entrepreneurs are human

Humans are incredibly creative and can accomplish amazing things. They can do this when their hearts and minds focus on a compelling vision, and they have the resilience and will to embrace their humanness. They need to step towards their fears and limitations, to learn, and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

After years researching and interviewing Entrepreneurs Gallup identified ten innate talents that they say define entrepreneurs and drive their business success. They are:

  • Business Focus
  • Confidence in themselves and others
  • Creative Thinking
  • Know how to Delegate
  • Persevere
  • Independent
  • Seek out Knowledge
  • A good spokesperson for their business
  • Good at relationships
  • Take risks

Most of the entrepreneurs I’ve worked with over the past 15 years possess many of these qualities. Yet they also struggle with these things:

  • Delegation
  • Procrastinating
  • Have lots of ideas and run in circles
  • Lack of confidence and doubt themselves sometimes
  • Feel overwhelmed occasionally
  • Have poor boundaries
  • Struggle with relationships
  • Make poor decisions
  • Feel shame and guilt
  • Sometimes lack courage

90% of being an entrepreneur is mastering your inner game so you can express your natural talents.

I have learnt to recognise opportunities to step beyond my comfort zone in the pursuit of things that bring me true fulfilment – it was a small tweak that has ended up making a significant difference. We now speak on a regular basis and Simon has become the voice which says “you can do this”.
